Let's face it, a night at the casino can be a fun way to unwind and add a little excitement to your day. Here in Newport, we're lucky to have access to 2 of the largest casinos in the country just a short drive from town. Foxwoods Casino and Mohegan Sun Casino are about an hour away, about 15 minutes across the Rhode Island border into Connecticut. They are both a bit isolated, but each can be a fun day trip away during your visit to Newport. Both casinos operate 24 hours a day, so head on over whenever the mood strikes you, even if that's at 4am! About a 40 minutes' drive north to Lincoln RI brings you to Twin River Casino, which offers a large selection of both video slots as well as table games, restaurants and live entertainment.
