Vacation Planning Tip:

If you intend to spend a good deal of time in downtown Newport, try to get accommodations as close to town as possible. Because of its age, Newport was designed as a walking town and parking can be hard to find. Try to walk between destinations and don't forget that cabs are plentiful and cheap around town.

Dockage & Marina Services

Throughout the past almost 400 years of maritime history, Newport has maintained its access to the harbor for industry, visitors and residents alike. The city offers a multitude of marina and dockage facilities, as well as moorings and designated areas to drop anchor in the harbor while you're here. Launch services are available from anywhere in the harbor to bring you and your guests to town. And during the summer months, you can even find a floating raw bar delivering oysters and littlenecks on the halfshell to hungry boaters throughout Newport harbor.
